MEDIA ACCREDITATION RULES
FOR JOURNALISTS, PHOTOGRAPHERS AND TV OPERATORS
1- Media accreditation request
All Media Accreditation Requests for journalists, photographers and TV crew must be sent to the Press
Office of the Organizer c/o FM Press, e-mail:info@fmpress.it- Fax (+39) 0578.659878.
2 - Approval
All requests will be evaluated and approved by the Press Office of the Organizer.
3 - Allowance for accredited journalists
Accredited journalists have the right to enter the main facillities, the press room and the paddock. They are
not allowed in any technical or operational areas, nor in any officials rooms (Race Director, Race Secretary,
judges, etc.).
4 - Media/Press Passes issued by the by the CIK-FIA or CSAI
The annual Media & Press-passes issued by the CIK-FIA, CSAI or FIK allow free access to the main
facilities, the press room and the paddock. They are not allowed in any technical or operational areas, nor
any official rooms (Race Director, Race Secretary, judges, etc.).

5 - Track access
Access to the track is permitted only to photographers and TV operators formally accredited who will receive
a proper PHOTO-TV TRACK pass together with a jacket, the wearing of which is obligatory.
The PHOTO-TV TRACK pass and the jacket its holder will be handed out only after the accreditation
applicant hasfilled out and signed the related form, produced by the organizer, to waive liability from the
National Sporting Authority (CSAI), the Organizer, Promoter, Race Officials and third parties.
6 - Rules for accredited photographers and TV operators
While on the track premises, all photographers and TV operators must abide by orders given by the Race
Director, who is solely responsible for all proceedings, including security, within the track perimeter. The
Race Director will provide the accredited media personnel beforehand, also through the press room, with a
map marked with the areas where standing is allowed only for the purposes of shooting. Outside of these
latter areas, access is strictly forbidden.
Only after each start, and when all drivers have completed the first lap, and after receiving the consent from
the nearest track steward, can accredited media personnel cross the track - only once - to position
themselves in another authorized area.
The only exception to this rule, for greater freedom of movement, but always under the strict control of the
Race Director, applies to TV operator(s) carrying out live or recorded TV coverage for the channel holding
the broadcasting rights to the event.
Non observance of these rules will result in the immediate withdrawal of the pass from the offending party
and their being expelled from the track area.
Track access is limited to a total number of 10 (ten) photographers and TV operators in total. However, the
limit may be set higher or lower at the discretion of the Race.
7 - Priority
Priority in issuing press passes for photographers and TV operators for carrying out their work at the track, is
decided by the Press Office of the event organiser.
Priority is given to requests coming from;
- national and international TV networks;
- national and international newspapers available by the newsstand;
- professional photographer agencies;
A maximum of 3 representatives each (journalists and/or photographer and/or TV operator) will be
accredited for Press, Photo agencies and TV.
8 - Concessions for accredited journalists, photographers and TV networks
Accredited journalists, photographers and TV operators have the right to access all the information related to
the races such as the placings, press releases and statements which the organizer's Press Room must be
able to supply by the end of the event.
Accredited media representatives have the right to work in the press room.
PROCEDURE FOR THE GRANTING OF MEDIA ACCREDITATION TO JOURNALISTS, PHOTOGRAPHERS AND TV OPERATORS
1 - Procedure for media accreditation for journalists, photographers and TV operators
The application form must be submitted to the Press Room of the organizer no later than the Friday
preceding the week of the race. It is important to fill out the form in all its parts and to attach everything
ndicated in the following points.
2 - Insurance for photographers and TV operators with track access
All photographers and TV operators who request access to the track must hold a personal injury insurance
policy that explicitly covers risks arising from carrying out their professional activities during motor racing
events and that explicitly without revenge.
It is strongly advised that all photographers and TV operators also take out an individual professional publicliability
policy for themselves, in order to cover them for any property damage they might cause during their
work on the track and premises. Whoever may cause such damage will be personally and exclusively held
liable for it, whilst any injuries they sustain or cause will be covered by the organizer's insurance policy
contract.
3 - Accreditation of print media journalists
Requests must be made in writing using the publications letterhead. This letter must be signed by the editor
or managing editor and must indicate the journalist or journalists for whom accreditation is being requested,
plus a formal undertaking from the editor to publish one or more reports related to the event concerned.
Photocopy of the official press card of each of the representatives to be accredited.
4 - Press heading photographers accreditation
Requests must be made in writing through an application letter written on the publication's letterhead.
This letter must be signed by the editor or managing editor and must indicate the photographer or
photographers for whom accreditation and possible to the track is being requested, plus a formal undertaking
from the editor or the publication to publish one or more reports related to the event concerned.
Photocopy of the official national press card of each of the photographers to be accredited.
Photocopy of an insurance policy without revenge which clearly shows that the Photographer is covered for
injury while performing professional work on the premises of a motor racing track.
5 - Photo agency photographers accreditation
Accreditation requests must be made in writing through an application letter written on the agency's
letterhead. This letter must be signed by the legal representative of the agency, must explicitly request track
access for the delegated photographer, and must contain all reference information of the applicant (company
HQ, home address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website if applicable, VAT number – mandatory).
List of the publications (newspapers or periodicals with complete address and director's name) for which the
agency states it’s performing coverage of the event concerned.
Photocopy of the official national press card of each of the photographers to be accredited.
Photocopy of an insurance policy without revenge which clearly shows that the Photographer is covered for
injury while performing professional work on the premises of a motor racing track, or alternatively, a
photocopy of a declaration by the insurance company, with reference to policy number and amount of cover,
stating that the Photographer is insured for the activity to be performed.
6 - Freelance photographer accreditation
Accreditation requests must be made in writing through an application letter written on the photographers
own letterhead. This letter must explicitly request track access and contain all reference information of the
applicant (business and home addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website if applicable, VAT
number – mandatory).
List of publications (newspapers or periodicals with complete address and director's name) on whose behalf
the photographer states they will be performing coverage of the event concerned.
Formal undertaking to publish one or more photo articles related to the event concerned.
Photocopy of the official national press card of the photographer to be accredited.
Photocopy of an insurance policy without revenge which clearly shows that the Photographer is covered for
injury while performing professional work on the premises of a motor racing track, or alternatively, a fotocopy
of a declaration by the insurance company, with reference to policy number and amount of cover, stating that
the Photographer is insured for the activity to be performed.
